Yesterday I participated in another successful demonstration of the RGB Slider with some Pi’s. This one was with a wonderful group Fort Collins Girls Who Code.
I do another demonstration of the RGB Slider with some Pi’s at Galvanize in Fort Collins. This one will be over a “Lunch & Learn” in Galvanize’s full-stack class.
I recently started an Intro to Data Science Workshop and today in our weekly mentor meeting, my mentor and I were running and interactive session in RStudio. He asked my to install a package1 in R
so we could look at distinct factors in the iris
dataset.

I formed an LLC a while ago to be able to easily contract or subcontract on some of my new activities. Anyway, I needed the legal entity to simplify things… but I never really did anything for branding.
A problem I ran into after installing OS X El Capitan GM on my Mac mini colocated in Las Vegas: it became unreachable after the install. I filed a ticket and got prompt help from the support staff at MacMiniColo! It appears that the installer decided to throw away all my network settings, and switch to a default of assigning IP through DHCP– which doesn’t really work when you are bare on the Internet.
I have been going to a local meetup for Javascript, and it has been been well-attended and fun. There is another event coming up in August (two in one month!).
